We also met a woman who hand embroidered. he set us up so the shaman could pray for good health. Very mature for someone so young He also took us to Santiago where we went to the shamans house.
Joel kept getting carts for us so that I could conserve my energy. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area. There even was a shaman praying with a family. It was a very hazardous path and he helped me manage the walk.
once again, we felt very safe in his hands. Based on our experiense, we highly recomend them. In summary, arranging transportation, especially upon arriving at an airport in a developing country can cause a bit of anxiety, We were on a very early flight to Guatemala, in the back of you mind you also wonder if they are going to show up. One small point on note, we speak decent spanish, so all our communications were in spanish and the drivers did not appear to know much english….but they will get you were you need to go. We paid the drivers in local currency which we procured at home before traveling to Guatemala. The booking process was via WhatApps, we dealt with Fabio who was also excellent, quick to respond and confirimg the arrangements. They are flexible and accomodating if you need to stop in transit for food or bathroom breaks. The drivers were on time and very professionals. The vehicles were clean and in excellent condition. They operate a fleet of newer passenger vans. We used Authentic Guatemala to provide private transportation from the Guatemala City Airport to the Oceana Resort and then from the resort to Antigua.
